Root Work • Buyer Be Ware!

It is not uncommon for me to receive one or two calls a week from people all over the country who have consulted a “psychic” and shortly thereafter, perhaps their second visit, find that a set up is in play.

The set up usually begins in an innocent way. The reader (con artist) will make a magical suggestion, perhaps for the client to wear money folded in a special way on their body. Another suggestion is  to sleep with an egg under the pillow. There are many variations of the magical suggestion.

Each can be an intriguing suggestion, and as no harm seems immediate, why not? Why not try that suggestion which may help you achieve your goals. Most often, the money or the egg is brought to the next session.

The reader will report that they can see from the contents of the egg, or the condition of the money that someone has “put a root” on the seeker.  The root could have been “worked” to cause the client to lose love, lose health, or to have “bad luck”.

Sometimes these false readers will actually introduce the idea that someone is working roots or has put a root on the seeker, or a family member at the very first session!

Be sure, these readers often have some gift. Many are very good cold readers. Some are indeed gifted seers, but these kind of seers will seek profit above all.

I believe they corrupt the gift by setting a snare. Once hooked, clients may spend as little as $300 and as much as $30,000 to remove the root. Sometimes the language is different. Sometimes there is a curse, a spell, a black cloud in the aura that will bring trouble to the seeker.

  • To be sure, there are sorcerers in this world.
  • Be sure there are those who can indeed conjure.
  • There are those shamans who have so practiced their path that they are able to accomplish remarkable things.
  • There are those who can become invisible.
  • There are some who can move through time.
  • There are powerful sadhus in India who have such mastery over self and mind that their feats are legendary or secret.
  • There are shamans born hundreds of years ago who remain in formless realms and can be contacted today.

It is my experience that those powerful beings who can indeed do magic, will do this for others only to do good work. They can bring blessings, healings, peace and harmony where no hope of such things existed.

If a shaman, priestess, or mystic seer has devoted their life to perfecting their intention, it is unlikely that they will sell their mastery to “reunite lost love.”

As for me, I understand that every action has a reaction. I understand that willingly causing harm to another person has a cost! I will not pay that price.

I advise everyone who seeks a magical solution to look within. If you stop to think about it, each one of us contains all the magic we need to change our lives, and indeed the world.

The challenge in Western culture is that we have become separated from our own magnificence. We are so far from sleeping under the stars, listening to the animals move through the darkness, hearing only the stillness of the natural world, the bird song, the wind in the leaves…. that touching the mystic requires time many of us do not have.

As well, it can seem easier to let the “expert” take care of the problem. When I first began working in Jacksonville, Florida it was very common for me to have new clients come who had already spent hundreds on special candles that would be burned in special ceremonies.

A ritual candle is a tool you may use to train your mind and work the magic of recreating your own life. Positive affirmations, mantra, psalms are all tools at your fingertips that can help you work your own magick.

I did a touch of research on line to see what the web had to say. I can share my experience. I have indeed met masters of magic. I have seen great deeds done. I have seen blessings and hope, help and healing accomplished through herbal blends, incense, carrying amulets and talismans.

In all those cases, the “magick” was done by the person seeking change. I invite you to seek within to discover your magick. Don’t pay someone else please. The risk is that you will fall deeper and deeper down a rabbit hole.

Peace to all.

Are There Spirits Around Me?

Questions People Ask A Psychic Medium

This is one of the most common questions I am asked and the answer is yes. There are all kinds of spirits around all of us all the time.

People are always dying, and as they leave their bodies, their spirits pass by our world, or exit through our world, so they are “around” us.

There are spirits of water, of trees, of animals and of places that are around us all the time. In cities there is often so much static in the ethers that it is impossible to notice these subtle vibrations or frequencies.

We have microwaves, cell phone towers, power lines, electric lights, radio waves as well as light rays and energy waves from the universe that pass right though our world that are all energetically affecting our fine senses.

To confound our ability to sense the presence of human or spiritual energies, in city environments we often have constant noise.  The traffic sounds alone drown the voice of the natural world and extinguish for most the voices of the world of spirits.

When people ask the topic question in a session, I ask if they are hoping to connect with a particular ancestor, or recently deceased loved one.
If you are hoping to see if your loved one is watching over you, it is best to be direct with your reader and ask to see what you really want to know.  An ethical reader will do his or her best to help you connect with a departed friend. I have a short podcast on mediumship if you would like more information on that topic.

Depending on your tradition there could be gods, angels, demons, dakinis, nagas, devas or pretas to name just a few kinds of spiritual energies that might be near you at any given time. This does not mean that those spirits are active in your life, nor that they will have an effect on your world.

For a seer, the presence of spiritual energies is familiar. For some con “artists” it is common practice to use a perons awareness and/or belief in the presence of spirits to convince that client their run of bad luck is due to someone who has cursed them, or sent evil spirits after them to do them harm or to cause trouble.

I recently has a conversation with a man who had a family member boast that they (the family member) had gone “down to see a witch” and have a spell cast against that man. The man who bought the spell – if indeed he did such a thing – really bought himself a world of trouble.

The intention to harm another person is a very serious matter with negative karmic consequences. There is no escape from causality. Whether the harm is caused by physical or spiritual means, the intent is the same – to do harm.

I realize if you follow my blogs you will notice that I post time and again that there are very few people who are indeed powerful enough to cast spells to cause harm. Please, realize that it is seldom if ever the case that you are cursed by the actions of another person.

It can be true that spiritual energies of one kind or another that have “found” you, are in your Auric space or perhaps in your home or business. These energies – especially those that are in places may be or have been in that area for ages. Their presence in your life is not about you…. they may belong where they are.

As well there are indeed energies that become “trapped” in certain locations or in some cases, that follow people for some reason.  While this can feel uncomfortable, it is seldom dangerous.

If you feel that there is true energetic danger in your home or business, then it is best to call a priest, a pastor, or an energy healer to remove that disturbance in a kind yet effective way.
May priests and pastors do house blessings as a part of their spiritual practice. Some may accept donations, others ask that you make a donation to the church.

Energy healers, in particular Usui Reiki energy healers will charge for their services. This is part of their tradition – that there should be a transfer of energy between the healer and those receiving services.

I hope you have enjoyed this article and will use it to move forward in the most successful way possible.

Gifted Children – Thank you all for your question about the experiences of your children.

I have received many comments over the past few years from parents and their friends asking me to please help explain various experiences their children are having. These experiences range from seeing things, discarding mirrors and refusing to look in mirrors, being afraid to enter certain rooms, hiding in closet forts within their rooms…… The list is really quite long.

It would be irresponsible of me to answer these kinds of questions by email. Each child is different, each event is different, and to act in the best interest of the children, I would hope all parents would reach out to speak with a clairvoyant, a priest, or a shaman to help their children.

What follows are my observations based on over 50 years experience with clairvoyance, and in particular, psychic development issues in young people. My first and best suggestion for parents is to Always take your childs’ report to heart. Please do not dismiss their experiences with statements such as “There are no such thing as ghosts.” or “You just had a bad dream.” or even worse.. shaming the child as if the child is attention seeking.

Children are closer to the “Dreamtime” or to “Heaven” or to the “Bardo” than adults are. They are much more awake, open, sensitive and have not yet been “closed” to this miraculous energetic world in which we live. The see what we do not want to see, or have become to busy to see.

It is true that there are all sorts of energies at play in the world. There are divine, demonic, and neutral energies at play at all times. if a child is experiencing something that seems supernatural to you, I invite you to take it seriously. Have a real conversation with the child if possible.

If you need assistance, please make contact with the person you wish your child to consult before bringing the child to a seer, healer, priest or priestess. As a parent, you must make the best choice for your child. Ethical consultants usually publish. Ethical consultants will want you to be present with your child… and if the child is more mature and comfortable speaking privately, they may ask you to honor your child’s wish for a confidential consult.

Haunted Houses or Portals?

A Report from Chickasaw County, Mississippi

Over the years I have been hired to investigate homes for paranormal phenomena, ghosts of deceased persons and spirits of various kinds. From my experience, there are different kinds of phenomena that occur in this world that are most often found in homes.

Haunted Houses

The ones with which we seem most familiar are “hauntings” wherein the people living in the home have a sense that there is another human energy present with them. Often they are able to identify or even “see” the energetic imprint of that person. In the West we refer to these energies as ghosts.

In general, these energies remain for one reason or another, and seem to serve as witnesses to the living. Some people enjoy the presence of these energies, find the situation fascinating, or exciting, others are very disturbed and sometimes frightened.

As we know, every birth ends in death.  We also know the consciousness of human beings is immortal. Many believe that consciousness moves from realm to realm. Imprints, remnants, ghosts, or “la” of those human births may remain neutral in your space, or they may become disruptive or harmful over time.

I firmly believe that it is always most loving to help these energies move freely from this world to the next should they need assistance.  Should these energies move from the passive state of witness to an active state of interfering with daily life then, it is past time to ask them to move on.

There are many ways to lovingly effect the clearing of trapped human energies from a home, and a good Energy Healer, Usui Reiki Master, Shaman, Rinpoche, or Priest is usually able to restore your home and to help the disincarnate energy, or imprint of that energy move fully on to their next level of being.

The removal of ghosts is not the topic of this post. I address ghosts as a preface to the true topic, that of portals, so that the reader will be able to share my frame of reference.

Portals may be naturally occurring phenomena, or they may be created. “Portal” is the best word I have found to refer to those locations on the Earth were nonhuman energies are able to move into this world, or press close enough to the veil between, that they affect human beings.

While there are sacred places in which people experience uplifting presence, it seems that I more often am called to encounter places where the spiritual energy is disturbing, frightening, or damaging to the people who live there.  In some cases the energy portal, particularly if it is intentionally created and is left open, can create a situation in which the affect of the spirits that are called can gain sufficient power to present themselves to generations of family members. Such is the case I am about to report.

Recently I was invited to visit a home and I quickly becoming aware that the home was a created portal. The purpose of this post is to tell as much of that story as may be helpful. In this case, the less said the better.

The home was located in a small town (population of under 650 people) in Chickasaw County, Mississippi. When first stepping on the ground, it was clear that the energy of the land itself was unsettled. It seemed as if the vibrational field created by the house had extended itself over time to leave a trembling energetic net in the top soil.

The front door was locked, yet the back door was open. That the house had been empty for many years was quite clear upon entrance. Escorted by a member of the family, and with no prior knowledge of any of the events that had occurred there, nor the reports of family members, I had a look round.

It is very important that you understand this house was built to order in 1906. The house was built with a cook house out back, so there was originally no proper kitchen. There was nothing accidental in the construction of the home, which is why the subtle impact of the house was all the more disturbing.

Most striking was that everything was structurally “off.” I don’t mean that the house wasn’t “square.” I mean to say that the layout of the rooms, the heights of the ceilings, placement of doors, location of windows, widths of hallways, twists in the stairwells, all manner of rooms and closets were somehow mathematically “wrong” and yet intentionally built to be that way.

Walking the first floor was disorienting, as rooms had no logical sequence, some seemed too narrow, others without purpose. I walked the back of the first floor of the house several times, and yet could not now tell you the order of the rooms, the names, nor the purpose of the rooms. I can tell you that there was a covered porch out back.

The most noticeable structural anomaly on the first floor was apparent as I was coming from the back of the house toward the front door. I walked down a very wide hall way, and at the end of that hall there was an embellished archway. There seemed to be about 20 paces from archway to the front doorway, which took one across a “lobby”, rectangular in shape.

I stopped and looked at that archway, the ‘lobby”, the stairwell at the left that lead to the second floor, another opening to the right leading to another room and knew that I was looking at a portal.

Between the archway and the doorway was the “abode of invited spirits.” I can think of nothing else to call it. I did not casually walk that space, but began to secretly recite mantra for purification and protection as I wondered at it.

There was no natural reason for an archway to be built there. I was reminded of the nave of a church, opening to the alter area, but only briefly. The energy field between the arch and the door was palpable, it seemed alive or awake, and not welcoming. Knowing there was a ceiling over the hall made no energetic difference as that area seemed open at the top.

When I encounter a structure that I feel was constructed to “call forth” energies, I realize that I am most surely human and therefore at a great disadvantage. Invited to explore the second floor, thus to enter and cross the portal, I did proceed, but with spiritual caution.

The staircase was lovely. It had a find handrail, was well built, enviable really if one likes old homes. In fact it was the “nicest” embellishment I had encountered,  yet the math of the staircase was also odd. Four steps I believe, then a right angle turn to take one up to the second floor.

I will not spend much time describing the second floor as I felt it was “unclean.” I did go into all the rooms, and found them more odd and disturbing in size and order than those on the first floor. In particular there seemed to be an altar room (this room was above the portal area on the first floor)  which included strange columns – providing no structural benefit – that may have seemed to a casual onlooker to be another embellishment, but as I remember there were four, cardinally placed. I did not take them as casual at all.

Further, to my right as I faced what called out as the focal point of the room, there was a window that was built just a few inches from the floor. It was just the right size to enable a grown man to exit the room, and climb out onto the roof.

The upstairs had many other anomalies. The family member pointed out different bedrooms and identified the various family members who had slept there. A second bath had been added upstairs in what must have been a bedroom. There was a sink and toilet, but no tub or shower.

There are no descriptions to offer as I was ready to leave the upstairs almost upon arrival. I was ready to explore the outside of the house to see if I could find a purpose to the various columns and arches that I had found inside.

I walked the outside of the house twice, witnessing without drawing any conclusions. There was much to see. There is no need or benefit to list all the embellishments hidden in plain sight. Some were in the shape of arrows, other geometric shapes were visible,  the numbers of the panes of the windows were most interesting… there was no order to the patterning  at first glance and all windows were not the same style.

The foundation of the house had been built in such a way that sacred geometry was used to ensure the house to be a portal. This was the most correct of all the “math” of the house, and to me the most reassuring. It seemed as if, at the beginning of construction, the original builder had good intention.

At some point perhaps the builders were changed, or the intention changed, and thus this strange two story clap board building was left to dominate all the small single story homes that grew up around it.

My suggestion was that the house should be burned to the ground where it stood. If that was not possible, then it should be dismantled and burned in full (although I do not like to think of what would be released as various pieces of the house were taken apart.)

After the Tour

Of course, the family member was very interested to know what I thought of the house, and asked me to tell what I thought. I reported that I thought the house should be burned to the ground where it stood, and was met with no resistance to the idea at all.

It was then that the family member was able to provide me insights into the builder and stories told by family members that validated that the house had indeed drawn down energy, and that that energy had been corrupted long ago, plaguing family members for generations.

The house was built by a Civil War veteran, wounded in action, and as a result of his wound he lost his leg. It is reported that he and other veterans gathered at the house regularly to revisit memories of the war at great length. Research could be done to see what occult works were available to the pubic at that time, but it felt best to walk away from the how and the why of it all.

I do not want to violate the privacy of the family, so will summarize that it was reported that no one every wanted to sleep on the second floor. Some occupants confined themselves to living in only three rooms on the first floor of the house at night, keeping all the other doors locked.

Most who lived in or visited the house reported the same nightmare of being terrorized by a dark energy that had a human like form. These nightmares were very vidid and frightening. The generations have reported the same lucid dreams, frightening occurrences and physical manifestations of the presence of spirits since the early 1900s.

I do not know how long the house has been vacant. There is nothing that makes the house attractive to the casual eye. The interior is impossibly decorated and would require a tremendous investment to make it visually pleasing. Yet, as is often the case with these kinds of houses, there will be one member of the family that wants to keep the house… regardless.  It is almost as if the house chooses a family member of each generation to “keep it.” It is  in good repair, and may well last another 130 years. Such is the case with created portals.

Some of you reading may want more information, as did the person who showed me the house. There really are somethings best left unsaid, and some energies best left to lie as they are. This is one of those times for me.

I hope this post is helpful.

Am I Cursed? Has Someone Put a Spell on Me?

I hear this question often. It is very important and deserves a full reply. In order to reply effectively, it is necessary to be specific about the kind of curses that may be referred to.

a) Inherited Curses or Family Curses.
There are those who feel as if they have inherited a curse, are cursed from birth, or are born under a bad sign, or an unlucky star.
b) Spells and Witchcraft
In European cultures one may feel a curse has either be cast upon oneself by an enemy, or that a curse or spell has been purchased by an enemy from a witch or sorcerer to cause harm to an individual, family, farm or business. As in African cultures, there is also a fear of cursing where a ghost or demon is summoned and attached to a person.
c) Voudou and Root Work
In African as in other cultures, curses are often issue specific and there are many different ways they may be cast against one. Some curses are to create a series of misfortunes, others are to call down a malevolent spirit to plague a person, while some are cast to cause wasting, poverty, impotence, loss of love, etc.
d) “Discovered Curses”
These alleged curses are often part of a very effective and costly scam process wherein a “psychic” or “reader” tells the customer that they (the con artist) see that the customer has “bad luck” or a curse upon them, and that curse is the cause for all the misfortunes the customer is experiencing. This particular scam is set up so that only the con artist who discovered the curse has the power to remove it.
The most important point to remember as we go forward in the exploration of the topic of curses and spell is causality, or karma. Every action has a consequence. Your past actions for good or ill have a consequence. Sometimes the fruit of ones negative past actions ripen all at once, and one can quite easily feel as if they are cursed, unfortunate, or born under a bad sign.
If you are feeling plagued or cursed, it is often useful to pause and have a look at your life, your recent actions, thoughts, words and deeds to see if they are virtuous and bring you peace of mind. If not, if in fact you have failed to take responsibility for your behavior, are not living a sober and healthy life, then you may be reaping that which you have sown.
When looking at curses, hexes and spells, it is very important to remember that the individual you feel is responsible for working to do you harm must also reap the consequences of their willful action to do you harm.  This may not be comforting while you are in the midst of the whirlwind, but rest assured, those who do evil, who do not repent, who do not purify their negative actions, ultimately will pay a far greater price than you, the cursed one are experiencing.
So, are there curses? Yes indeed. There are also spells and hexes, angels and demons, spirit of deities and spirits of the departed, and many other kinds of spirits in this wide and magical world. Most often, the unseen world remains unseen, and human beings move through this one as if it is “real” and solid and lasting.
There are very few people I have met, fewer still that I have read for, who are actually suffering from a curse placed upon them by someone else. From time to time I do meet people who, through occult carelessness, have opened doors they cannot close, and find themselves “face to face” with powers greater than expected.
I write this as in introduction to what must be a series of articles on curses. This begins on the mundane, or material level of perception as this is a good place to lay the ground work for the energetic nature of relationships that can cause one to feel as if they are also cursed………. but that is an article for another day.
Should you care to consult me about this topic, I do offer paranormal consultations by appointment. However, as you will see if you “stay tuned” there are many useful ways for you to get your power back, to be clean, free, and have peace of mind once again.
All blessings to you.

Negative Energy in the Home – when to move

I am happy to answer this question from a visitor to my site and hope the answer is to others:

” Hi,
I hope this won’t seem strange to you but I have a question. I am psychic and my 15 yr. old daughter is. For many years living in this home, I feel I am absorbing negative energy. My daughter came to me crying and said she hates being here, she gets bad feelings.I have always hated being here also.

Since we are psychic we pick up all energies, good and bad. Please tell me what to do to get rid of this negative energy in this home. It is affecting me and my daughter. I have had priest bless but I don’t think that will help. I was told I have a vortex in my home. Anything you can tell me will help.
Thank you.”

This note really contains two questions in one. Other posts on this site, as well as links out to other articles, address some of the issues of psychic self-defense, cleansing the home of unwanted negative energies and other issues of psychic self-protection. Today, I am able to suggest that sometimes, the best decision is simply to move.

There are times when homes become negative. This can occur slowly over a period of time, or be a direct result of an incident. Really, the changes can occur subtly over a perion of time, or a negative vortex can simply manifest.

These are the moments when the best decision is to leave that environment, and seek another that feels more comfortable. There is no defeat in relocation, and often many blessings.

I close with best wishes for joy on your journey.

Ann George

Paranormal Event Counseling is available.

Dear Readers,

While I am always happy to address paranormal questions on the blog, I should point out that I am really only able to provide generally relevant answers to questions, as each incident is ultimately as unique and important as the human being experiencing the event.

If you look through this blog, you will see that there are a few posts written in reply to people with concerns that supernatural energies are affecting their lives in unexpected or unwelcome ways. Often, the concerns people experience have a similar theme… but with slightly different manifestations of disincarnate energy.

If you would like to explore your issue thoroughly, I do offer two different Paranormal Event consultation sessions to specifically address your concerns. These consultations are open for you to ask any kind of question about a supernatural event, to share your experience, or to receive suggestions as to how you may best proceed along your own path to spiritual awakening.

After a lifetime of clairvoyant living, many paranormal & supernatural encounters, and many consultations with people from all walks of life who have had unusual phenomena occur, a feel quite qualified to offer metaphysical consultation sessions.

Please notice that I am not a licensed mental health worker, psychologist, or any other sort of degreed counselor. I do not pretend to be able to solve all your problems, but I am able to give experienced insights into a tremendous variety of unusual events.

Thank you for your kind attention to my post. I hope you find it useful.
